DNA Immunoadsorption Column
Immunoadsorption is a specific blood purification technique developed internationally in recent 15 years, it can be applied to some diseases that some traditional methods are hard to be effective. DNA immunoadsorption technique is a Chinese blood purification technique which is leading the world. It is the efforts and wisdoms of dozens of Chinese professionals. Its industrialization is the fruit of manufacturing, study and research by Nankai University a& Jafron’s mutual efforts. Nankai University started the research on DNA immunoadsorption technique in the 1970s, the techinique was basically matured in the 1990s, and it was ranked as China National Key Project & China National Torch Plan Project successively, USA invention patent was achieved in July 2001. Nankai University transferred the technique exclusively to Jafron in 2001. From then on, Nankai University and Jafron carried out technique transformation and industrialization which took 4 years & millions of US dollars. In Oct. 2005 Jafron DNA immunoadsorption column was approved by State Food & Drug Administration Bureau, and got medical registration certificate. [Registration No.: SFDA (approved) 2005-3451460]


Treatment Principle of Jafron DNA Immunoadsorption Column
Jafron DNA immunoadsorption column is composed of DNA immunoadsorbent and cartridge body. DNA immunoadsorbent takes the sphere-carbonized resin as carrier material, fixes DNA with special envelope. As the antigen of anti-DNA antibody of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), it can specifically recognize and combine anti-DNA antibody, antinuclear antibody and their immunocomplexes. Clinically, the product can not only be used solely, but also can be used with other blood purification instruments. Combined with other blood purification instruments, it can be used to treat the patients with blood immunoadsorption method, remove the pathogenic immunologic active materials and cure systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Clinical Experiment
In 2005, the 3rd Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University & Affiliated Xinqiao Hospital of 3rd Military Medical University carried out the clinical experiment of DNA immunoadsorption column. They treated 60 SLE patients with whole blood absorption, and the result showed that the product can effectively clear the internal anti-DNA antibody, antinuclear antibody and their immunocomplexes in SLE patients, help patients to pass critical & immuno-turmoil period smoothly. The patients get improved. Combined with medication, immunoadsorption can strengthen organism sensitivity to drugs, improve curative effect, reduce side effects, shorten treatment course & reduce recurrence rate. Early-stage patients might be cured absolutely.


Application
• Lupus erythematosus:
Systematic lupus erythematosus (SLE), skin lupus erythematosus, lupus crisis, drug induced lupus.
• Complications of SLE:
Kidney failure of lupus nephritis, psychiatric lupus, lupus angiocardiopathies, lupus pneumonia, pulmonary hemorrhage, lupus digestive system diseases, lupus haematological systemic disorders etc.
