Hemoperfusion (Resin Absorption) & Severe Hepatopathy
Severe hepatopathy and liver failures caused by various reasons are common in clinic, a large portion of patients’ hepatocyte become necrotic, toxic substances accumulate, making the liver cells aggravating and forming a vicious circle. The mortality is extremely high and there is no good treatment yet. The serum endotoxin, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6serum of severe hepatitis patients increased greatly, which is in parallel relation with level of liver cell damaging. In the end stage, multiple organ dysfunction (MODS) or multiple organ failure (MOF) happen frequently, and the combined severe infections and MOF is just the direct cause of severe hepatitis death and liver failure patients.
Artificial liver support system(ALSS) is an important means of treatment of hepatic failure, hemoperfusion is a proved clinical treatment for artificial liver treatments in recent years. HA330-II is one artificial liver hemoperfusion equipment specially designed for patients with liver disease, it can effectively clear toxic substances produced by liver failure, blocking the aggravating liver damage, reducing the inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), creating good opportunities and timing for liver function recovery, regeneration and/or liver transplantation, at the same time it could control multiple organ failure caused by this.
Adsorption Principle
Adsorbent in HA330-II resin hemoperfusion cartridge is the medical macroporous adsorptive resin processed by unique technology, whose adsorption capacity depends on the molecular sieve effect of three–dimensional network structure and the affinity between resin molecular groups and the adsorbed material as well as Van der Waals interaction between molecular groups, and high adsorption capacity is performed to macromolecular toxins, especially the ones with hydrophobic lipophilic groups or aromatic ring structure.
Product Properties
1. Safe application: good biocompatibility, great mechanical strength of adsorbing material and stable adsorbability.
2. High adsorption rate & large adsorption capacity
3. Sterilization with γ ray , no bacterium or pyrogen
